Abstract

The heat-resisting nickel alloys, also called superalloys, can be produced in several technological processes. It includes forming, casting and powder metallurgy. The disadvantage of casting is solidification process. The casting defects are formed during solidification. The casting defects reduce mechanical properties and it leads to premature failure of the casts. This thesis contains experimental part, where alloy IN-713 LC is examined. The alloys is used on the manufacture of blades for turbochangers. The blades are produced by precision casting method. The blades did not match up the required mechanical properties Rp0,2 and A5. Therefore the blades after tensile test were subjected to metallographic analysis, structural phase analysis and fractographical analysis.
