Abstract

This thesis discusses inventory management of purchased items in the industrial enterprise Austin Detonator s.r.o. The main objective of the thesis is to analyze the current state of inventory management for purchased items, formulate final proposals and recommendations for improving the existing inventory management methodology. This includes refining the calculations for determining safety stock and reorder points, leading to enhanced supply chain efficiency, reduced occurrences of excessive or obsolete inventory, and increased reliability of material supply to production. The theoretical section introduces the enterprise alongside the theoretical principles and methods of inventory management. The practical part presents the application of selected methods on the company’s data, their evaluation, improvement proposals for the current state, and their assessment.
