Abstract
This work’s main focus is in switching theory, which is switching on and off in ungrounded systems. It is concerned with controlled switching optimization using Switchsync PWC600 controller. It also deals with Switchsync PWC600 outputs while measuring switching on characteristics of single reactors located in transformator’s tercial windings. Furthermore, the installation of temperature compensation based on the sensing of the outdoor temperature and the temperature compensation curve in the Switch Sync device, including the electrical and mechanical parameters of the switch, is evaluated. These are compared with the parameters without switching with a temperature compensation curve. This work sums up this technically complicated device into quick and brief overview so it could be readily available for technicians or anyone who would express his interest in such matter.
