Abstract
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the mechanical and durability properties of alkali- activated concrete with respect to processing. The thesis consists of two parts, the first part is theoretical, and the second part is experimental. In the theoretical part, it is described what are alkali-activated materials, what raw materials are used for their production, what chemical reactions occur in them, where these materials are used and what their properties are. The test methods used to determine the properties of hardened concrete are also described. In the experimental part, three different alkali-activated materials are compared in terms of compressive strength, transverse tensile strength, and flexural tensile strength. The durability of these materials is further compared, specifically their frost resistance, resistance to chemical thawing agents and resistance to elevated temperature.
