Abstract

This thesis deals with problematic of rendering real vector map data sources from the first analysis to the final rendering to graphics canvas. The component is designed so it can integrated to the existing application, which is used as base map for vehicles monitoring. Thesis deals with the analysis of source data, their transformation to custom binary form, application of Douglas-Peucker algorithm for simplifying geometry objects and spatial indexing as a possible way of effective querying. The base structure for spatial querying is used the quadtree, stored on client's disk. These data are then user togehter with map rendering or in reverse geocoding. The implementation is verified using experiments. Few measurements are executed to check the approximately performance of tiles rendering. This opens the possibilities to improve data structures or rendering.
