Abstract

The aim is to evaluate the independence of the Czech National Bank and Central Bank of the Slovak Republic, Poland and Germany. These banks will also compare and contrast each other. This work used deductive method objectively. There will be followed by a theoretical definition of monetary policy compared to the degree of independence of central banks of selected countries. Also, the comparative method will be used to compare find out date. It describes monetary policy and its instruments, is discussed as well as central bank independence and its importance. The independence measured of the indices and compared between the central banks of selected countries. Finally, recommendations are given as possible to increase the independence of central banks.
