Šifrování přenosu dat v IPv6 protokolu.

Abstract

This thesis deals with data encryption using symmetric ciphers. The goal of this thesis was to find encryption algorithm that will be suitable for data transmission over IPv6 networks. The theoretical part explains the difference between stream and block ciphers. Part of the thesis is devoted to a brief description of selected ciphers (AES, Blowfish, SEED and ChaCha20). In the practical part, the speed and usage of CPU and RAM of individual ciphers were measured. Data encryption was performed by using the OpenSSL and data transfer was performed via a VPN network between the school and personal computer. From the measured results it can be said that the most suitable of the mentioned encryption algorithms is stream cipher ChaCha20, which was the most powerful in all tests.
