Abstract

This thesis solves the problem of leaching of nutrients from the sludge treatment plant, especially nitrogen and phosphorus, which are used in agriculture and for reclamation. Sludge from wastewater treatment plants belong to the major source of nutrients. The application of sludge should be optimized in terms of bioavailability Ptot, Ntot for vegetation cover and also in terms of nutrient release into the environment. In the case that sufficient nutrient sampling vegetation is not secured, it comes to release of nitrogen compounds and phosphates into surface and subsurface waters. The increased concentrations of nutrients in surface waters are one of the factors affecting eutrophication. Eutrophication refers to the process of degradation and deterioration of water quality.
