Zhodnocení konkurenčního postavení vybraného podniku a možnosti využití dotací ke zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti

Abstract

Ability to establish a business and persist in one's profession is, by all means not easy these days. Premises of water management company in Kopřivnice, which consists of a wastewater purifier and a deemulgation station, struggles with an immense competition. The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current situation in market of premises in Kopřivnice and find out whether there are grants for projects that would improve its competitiveness. The assessment of the competitive position has been determined using the Pollak's method, Porter's five forces analysis, PEST analysis and SWOT analysis. The research showed that the premises are located in a favourable region where the production of waste is one of the highest and there are many opportunities in the market that could be used to eliminate the weaknesses of the company. Information about possible grant projects were provided by a subsidy advisor on a meeting. There is a possible grant program for 6 out of the 11 planned projects from the subsidy program period of 2016 to 2020. Recommendations to use up a large area of unused land, to improve the website and to promote some projects with subsidy programs were determined in the conclusion.
