Ověření ukládání dat ve formátu TDMS pro účely záznamu vyhodnocených veličin v měřicích a testovacích systémech.

Abstract

This thesis is focused on different approaches to storing and reading data in LabVIEW, with the focus on the TDMS format. Other formats such as ASCII, binary, and XML are used for comparison with the TDMS format. Randomly generated data in LabVIEW and data from various simulated data acquisition cards are used to examine the properties of these file formats. Data generated from these cards can be stored with a function called DAQmx Configure Logging, which streams data directly to a disk. This method is compared to saving data with a regular TDMS Write function. This work verifies the demands of individual formats on disk space, data storage speed and reading speed, and CPU load, especially when writing large amounts of data. There are also examples on how to set properties in TDMS files, which can be later used to easily search for measured data using the DataFinder program.
