Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with the proposal for the opening of the sixth floor in the Ochoz quarry near Brno. In this quarry, limestone is mined, which is then supplied and used in the sugar industry, construction and, last but not least, in agriculture. At present, mining is permitted at the limit of 377 m above sea level, but by expanding mining to the sixth floor, quarrying will move down to the level of 365 m above sea level. In the first part of the work, data on geology, hydrogeology, state of deposit reserves, quality, characteristics and also current description of mining are processed. The next part contains a proposal for the opening of the sixth floor. In the conclusion, focus is put on the technical and economic benefit of this project.
