Abstract

This Bachelor thesis is focused on the issues connected to using the waste from producing and processing leather. The technology, which is used in tanning industry, is characterized in the theoretical part aswell as each of the types of waste, that are produced during the processing of the leather. While processing, not only solid wastes are produced, but also waste water. In the past, most of this waste has ended without any use in junkyards. Because of these reasons, scientists are looking for ways to use the waste. Methods of using the tanning industry waste are introduced in this thesis.
