Abstract

The main theme of my diploma thesis is studying and modeling quaternary fluvial processes with using GIS for selected area - watershed of the river Horní Morava. Using GIS possibilities for solving problems mentioned above and used work procedure are solved in the introductury chapters. Next chapters describe environmental components of the land of interest, characteristics of Quaternary, climate changes, fluvial processes, human progress and his impact of cultural landscape formation. Fundamental parts describe modeling of climate changes and land use scenarios, sediment transport through hydrodynamical models MIKE11, MIKE 21 and HEC-RAS, work procedure and description of used program utilities. Modeling and simulating results are through the GIS visualizated compare with fluvial sediments. In conclusion are usability of used work procedure and program utilities summed up.
