Abstract

Diploma thesis is focused on investigations of structure and properties of simulated HAZ regions in P91 steel, which is frequently used in energy industry. The attention was paid to long-term creep properties of individual HAZ regions at temperature of 600 °C. Furthermore, microstructure stability during long-term high temperature exposure was studied. In the theoretical part, results of the critical literature survey on microstructural stability of advanced heat resistant steel welds are presented. In the experimental part, results of long-term creep tests on specimens, which represent individual simulated regions of HAZ, are discussed. These results are compared with creep properties of the base material. Detailed microstructure analysis of ruptured tespieces was carried out with the aim to explain differences in creep properties among individual simulated regions of HAZ.
