Assessment of Investment Possibilities for Individual Investors in China

Abstract

The main objective of this thesis is to assess the possibilities of the investing and to give some advice to the individual investors in China. It will promote the investment decisions of individual investors. This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction of the main aim of this thesis and we will find the direction of this research. In the second part, we define and classify the investment instruments by the investment market, we also point out some differences between individual investors and institutional investors. We describe important principles of investing and factors that determine whether the investment is feasible or not. In the third chapter, we focus on the characteristics of investment possibilities. We review at the history of the investment development, the basic structure of the market, and the situation of investment instruments for individual investors in China. The forth part of this thesis is the comparison of the selected investment instruments, we use the different characteristics of different kinds of instruments to make the comparison. We want to give some good advice to the Chinese individual investors when they are confused by the complicated investment market. Last chapter is a conclusion, it is the summary of the entire thesis.
