Zpracování a analýza ramenního kloubu z MR snímků

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis describes the issues related to the shoulder joint. The theoretical part includes basic knowledge of the anatomy and pathology of the shoulder joint, as well as the fundamentals of imaging using magnetic resonance. Furthermore, it deals with the methods of image processing in terms of pre-processing, segmentation, and quantitative analysis of regions of interest. The practical part of the thesis focuses on designing an algorithm for segmenting the shoulder cartilage from magnetic resonance images. This is followed by testing the robustness of the algorithm and evaluating the achieved results. As part of feature extraction, the area of the cartilage and its brightness intensity are measured.
