Abstract

The aim of this master thesis is the proposal and setting of electric protections of MV switching station. In the first part of thesis is theoretical analysis of protections, which are described mainly overcurrent protections and their setting. Moreover there are also described the basic parts of protections, distribution and requirements. The second part deals with the theoretical analysis of the calculation of short-circuit currents and describes the rules for the calculation of short-circuit currents, calculations of the parameters of the components and calculations examples of short-circuit currents. In the third part is basic description and standard configuration of the used protections and then in the fourth part performs a calculation of short-circuit ratios at the substation. The calculation is solved by the method of symmetrical components and gradual simplification. The final part is devoted to the calculation of protections settings on MV.
