Abstract

This thesis is focused on problems of reclamations and community development during spontaneous succession after brown coal mining. Next, it describes studied area of North Bohemian Coal Basin, from which 15 study sites in the year 2007 and 13 study sites in the year 2008 were chosen for the research. Molluscous collecting and catching took place in these localities regarding to the period of the highest assumed activity and abundance of observed group. Molluscous collecting and catching methods and statistic results evaluations are presented in the thesis. The aim of this study is to introduce a group of molluscous as good indicators of environment state on areas of spoil heaps with different microhabitat conditions and various restoration approaches in post-mining landscape. It appears from the results that mentioned microhabitat parameters are more important factors influencing monitored group of molluscous than restoration history itself (reclamation x succession). Overall characteristic of molluscous group points at degradation of studied area.
