Abstract
The aim of this diploma thesis is to prepare documents and map annexes for future proceedings on the possible opening of the Hlinka quarry. The first part is devoted to the description of the locality of interest and the issue of basalt aggregate stocks in the Karlovy Vary region. The next part is a detailed introduction to the detailed geology, tectonics, hydrogeological conditions and quality of mineral reserves and their use. This is followed by the creative part of the work, where the author describes the solution to the individual points of the preparation plan and the mining opening, followed by the evaluation of the proposals. The work is supplemented by map appendices, which are the work of the author.

Organizace KMK GRANIT, a.s. má záměr otevřít ložisko čediče Hlinky a proto podpořila a přivítala možnost zpracovat návrh otvírky kamenolomu Hlinky jako téma diplomové práce Bc. Petra Otta.
Tato záležitost byla řešena s obcí Hlinky, tak vznikla v březnu tohoto roku nebývalá aktivita novinářů a je to značně mediálně probírané téma. V této chvíli ještě není zpracovaný záměr otvírky uvedeného ložiska a KMK GRANIT, a.s. by byl velice nerad, aby byla diplomová práce Bc. P.Otta zneužita proti nim, jako podklad pro veřejnou diskusi.
