Příhraniční region jako konkurenční výhoda vybraných obcí

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the topic of competitive advantages of municipalities in the border region, specifically in the Union of Municipalities of the Hlučínsko microregion. The issue of development of border regions is very topical today. In the bachelor's thesis, we defined one of the possible competitive advantages, such as the participation of municipalities in the cross-border cooperation program Interreg CZ-PL, by which the European Union supports border areas. Using the method of comparison, we identified the use of this competitive advantage in selected municipalities for the last two programming periods, 2007-2013 and 2014-2020. The participation of individual municipalities is one of the outputs of this work, the other is the amount of total allocated funding. Some municipalities were very successful both in the number of projects and the total amount of the allocated subsidy. At the end of the work, we presented several recommendations to municipalities that did not participate in any project, which in our opinion can help municipalities in their future development.
