Abstract
This thesis deals with the malacofauna in the landscape affected by mining.
The theoretical part of the text at the beginning contains the general characteristics of the mining landscape and analysis of its impact on biota. It also focuses on the malacofauna as a model group for monitoring. This part also contains definitions of selected sites with their characteristics and description of the natural conditions of the studied area which is located on the southernmost part of the Ostravsko karvinský coal district.
The most important part is the research conducted in seven selected locations. This thesis describes the mollusk species found in the selected area which is affected by coal mining. As part of this work 733 exemplars were determined. Out of the total number of 38 molluscs species, 35 were gastropods and 3 were bivalves.
The main objective of this study was to assess the composition of malacocenoses and implementation of the pilot research together with subsequent proposition of areas for monitoring.
