Abstract

This bachelor project deals with current possibilities of using alternative energy sources. This project focuses on renewable sources of energy such as water power and ways of its generation (high tide hydro power plant and low tide hydro power plant, pumped storage hydro plant, etc.), wind energy, solar energy, biomass energy. This project relates particularly to the use of non-conventional energy sources in the Czech Republic. It compares the use of non-conventional sources of energy and amount of energy produced in the Czech Republic and abroad. It also draws comparisons between the domestic and external share in electrical energy production.
