Abstract

The target of diploma work was to objectively analyze the economic and environmentally efficient management of solid municipal waste in the region of Žilina region, focusing on creating a viable alternative municipal waste management in the region. Comparison and assessment of the proposed options to improve municipal waste management, or its disposal is the main purpose of the practical part. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to analyzing the current state of municipal solid waste management of the Slovak Republic, theoretical definition of waste in accordance with applicable laws, separate collection, production and composition of municipal waste. The next section is evaluated by way of funding waste management. The last proposal is the largest component of the solution of municipal waste management in the region, where an application was made an independent municipal waste management in different variants. The results of the analysis showed the separation of financial lossy components of municipal waste on the city of Žilina which is directly related to the low price of secondary raw materials and recklessness of the people separated. System in the separate collection and subsequent recovery of separated commodities is not optimal setting. Produce a forecast of the development of municipal waste per capita of the region, came to the realization that the generation of municipal waste per capita will continue to increase. In terms of the analysis of costs and revenues are reflected in the construction of new incinerators in the region as economically disadvantageous. The solution in the circumstances of the region is a combination of municipal solid waste material recovery, energy recovery from municipal waste and garbage disposal. In practice, the proposed solution can be applied consistent separation of municipal waste has at producer, optimal logistics of collecting garbage, recovery of biodegradable waste composting, mechanical processing of municipal waste in the separated components and the preparation of usable fuel, additional recovery of municipal waste incineration and disposal of non-recoverable waste to landfill.
