Zhodnocení výkonnosti poskytovatelů domovů pro seniory agregovaných ve vybraných okresech České republiky

Abstract

The thesis focuses on the evaluation of performance of providers of retirement homes aggregated in selected districts of the Czech republic, which are territorial units of the South Moravian, Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc regions. The main goal of the thesis is to evaluate the efficiency of retirement homes aggregated in selected districts of the Czech republic for year 2018, while these districts constitute the analyzed production units. The theoretical part of the thesis initially defines old age as a social event, and then approaches the concept of social services on the territory of the Czech republic with a focus on their structure and financing in the field of social services for the elderly people. The practical part is first focused on a demographic and socio-economic analysis of selected districts of the Czech Republic. In the last part is perfomed analysis of the efficiency of selected production units using the data envelopment analysis (DEA), within an output-oriented model with a focus on constant and variable returns to scale.
