Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem centra lokální komunity na suburbánní struktuře města Ostravy. Na základě podrobného zkoumání ostravských suburbií a jejich udržitelnosti byla městská část Hošťálkovice vytipována jako vhodná lokalita pro případný sídelní rozvoj. Návrh práce reflektuje ideovou vizi urbanistického rozvoje městské části Hoštálkovice, při které dojde ke kontrolované suburbanizaci původního sídla. Vzhledem k očekávanému rozvoji této městské části je v těžišti stávající struktury navrhován Obecní dům, který spolu s kostelem ukotví historické jádro obce, kulturní a světskou identitu obyvatel.

The diploma thesis deals with the proposal of the local community center on the suburban structure of the city of Ostrava. Based on a detailed examination of the Ostrava suburbs and their sustainability, the town part of Hošťálkovice was identified as a suitable location for possible settlement development. The thesis reflects the ideological vision of the urban development of the Hoštálkovice district, which will lead to a rapidly controlled suburbanization of the original seat. Due to the expected development in this part of the city, the Municipal House, which together with the church docks the historical nucleus of the village, the cultural and secular identity of the inhabitants, is the center of the existing structure.
