Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation of an integrated system for the
collection and visualization of biomedical data and data from virtual reality environments. The
resulting system consists of four projects: the DataHub library for modular data collection, the
ComAnalyzer helper application for decoding network communication of the BIOPAC MP200 device,
the main desktop application Graphium with an MVVM-S architecture for real-time visualization
and export of biological signals, and the Graphium Live web application for remote data monitoring.
The main technical contribution is a solution for synchronizing data streams from multiple sources
with different sampling rates through timestamp interpolation, which guarantees a monotonically
increasing timeline without duplicates. The system was used for data collection as part of the
study The Use of Virtual Reality in Desensitization Therapy for Fear of Spiders conducted by the
Neurology Department of the University Hospital Ostrava.
