Odpady obsahující azbest

Abstract

Azbestové materiály patří do nebezpečných odpadů, jejichž výskyt způsobuje velké znepokojení. Mělo by se s nimi nakládat podle platné legislativy a technických norem, aby se zamezilo šíření azbestových vláken ovzduším a následné vniknutí do dýchacích cest, kde mohou vyvolat vážná onemocnění. Bakalářská práce popisuje krátkou historii azbestu jako stavebního materiálu, klasifikaci, vlastnosti, negativní účinky azbestový vláken na zdraví. Pozornost je také věnována legislativním předpisům a možnosti zpracování a postupům nakládání s azbestovým odpadem v České republice i v zahraničí. Dále jsou zde uvedeny moderní výzkumy, které by do budoucna vedly k recyklaci a zneškodnění azbestových materiálů jako alternativa k odstranění skládek.

Asbestos materials belong to dangerous waste whose occurrence is of great concern. It should be handled in accordance with applicable legislation and technical standards to prevent airborne asbestos fibers from spreading and entering the air passages where they can cause serious diseases. This bachelor thesis describes a brief history of asbestos as a building material, its classification, properties and negative health effects of asbestos fibers. Attention is also paid to legislative regulations and the possibilities of processing and procedures for the treatment of asbestos waste in the Czech Republic and abroad. Furthermore, there are presented modern researches that would lead to recycling and disposal of asbestos materials in the future as an alternative to the elimination of landfills.
