Abstract
This bachelor thesis defines the role of human resources in the company and examines issues of recruitment and selection of new employees in more detail. Its aim is to describe the methodology and ways of recruiting and selecting new employees in line with the theoretical background and to verify their validity in practice on a particular firm. The author of this bachelor thesis describing the recruitment and selection hiring process in ShopSys company. The content is divided into three chapters, the first one is a theoretical part which explains the basic terminology of human resources in relation to the recruitment and selection of new employees, outcome of this chapter is a list of methods and procedures that can be applied in practice. The second chapter is a practical part that describes the characteristics of ShopSys company, its personnel composition and describes a recruitment system of new employees. In conclusion this system is being evaluated and possible solutions how to make it more effective are described. The third chapter deals with the topic of this bachelor work in a journalistic context in four journalistic genres - an introductory article, an interview, a survey and a review. This journalistic section looks at the topic of recruiting new employees in a modern concept and discusses above all current trends in recruitment activities.
