CFD simulace proudění oceli v mezipánvi za provozních podmínek a jejich vliv na kvalitu oceli

Abstract

The subject of this thesis are CFD simulations of steel flow in the tundish under operating conditions and the effects of these operating conditions on the resulting quality of steel. The theoretical part is focused on research of global knowledge of CFD simulations as well as other topics relevant for this paper. In the practical part CFD simulations of molten steel flow in asymmetric five-strand tundish. The goal of these simulations was to find out which one of possible mass flow rates results in the highest influence of the quality of steel. The results of CFD simulations showed that the best quality of steel is achieved at the lowest possible mass flow rate. The results of the practical part were shown to be consistent with observations made in the theoretical part of this paper.
