Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the presentation of some veritable information about large carnivores, about their way of life and possibilities of mutual and peaceful coexistence with humans. In the first part I am describing a brief geographical characteristic of Beskydy Mountains area. The second part of my thesis shows basic information about large carnivores. Brown bear, grey wolf and eurasian lynx are amongst the small amount of animals, that everyone has heard about. Unfortunately, the myths, that humans created and are still creating, caused that although everyone has heard about them, just a few people really know and understand them. The following part of the thesis is aimig to introduce large carnivores in the most comprehensible and understandable way, show that it is possible to live next to such animals without conflicts, and advise how to divert or minimise incidental conflict. And last but not least I would like to refer to the work of conservationists who guard the life of large carnivores in Beskydy Mountains and point out the ways of improving coexistence of large carnivores with humans.
