Abstract

The thesis deals with the history, storage and use of flammable liquids. With increasing consumption and activities related to the handling of flammable liquids came regulations that were mapped in the thesis from their origins in the territory of today's Europe to the national technical regulations that are in force today in the Czech Republic. The practical part describes the usual defects in the storages of flammable liquids that can often be found in practice and the follow-up possible solutions and demonstrations for the projection of modern storages of flammable liquids. The last part recommends changes and modifications of legal and technical regulations that could be used and that would mean facilitating the design practice and interpretation of existing regulations.
