Vliv demokratických politických režimů na ekonomický rozvoj

Abstract

One explanation of the differences among the economic level of countries is the effect of so-called institutional factors of economic development. The subject of this thesis is the relationship between economic growth and one of the institutional factors - political regime. The first chapter defines the basic concepts which will be used later - economic growth, theories and factors of economic growth, political system and democracy. The second chapter includes the research of literature that deals with the relationship between economic growth and political regime. The last chapter analyzes the influence of democratic political regimes - democratic socialism and liberalism on economic development in the U.S. and Sweden. The descriptive and comparative method of analysis is predominantly used in this work.
