Abstract
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on analyzing the properties of an ON/OFF regulator for controlling
gas admission in a cultivation chamber used in tissue engineering. The primary goal is to verify
whether this regulator is sufficient to maintain the required atmospheric conditions and to optimize
its settings, including thresholds, hysteresis, and time windows. The thesis also includes the design
and implementation of an oxygen concentration measurement system, involving the experimental
identification of the optimal sensor position, mechanical design, electronic circuit development, and
integration into the existing control system. The resulting system was experimentally validated,
calibrated, and enhanced with new functionalities in the user interface. The thesis provides a
comprehensive evaluation of the achieved results and suggestions for further improvements.
