Abstract

The thesis describes a procedure to follow when one wishes to change for another provider of electricity. The procedure described is set up in order the change would result in as lowest cost for purchase of the commodity as possible. First chapters map out the existing state of the liberalized market with electricity, all legislative and they explain basic definitions concerning the issue. Following chapters are drafted as progressive steps leading to a given aim, i.e. the final change of the provider in such way so that the best economical result is reached. Each step is accompanied with illustrative examples coming out of practice which prove the effectiveness of the process. Finally, the thesis assesses results as well as benefits and disadvantages related to the change of the electricity provider.
