Abstract

Subject matter of this bachelor’s thesis is entertainment – touristic complex Hop and Beer Temple in Žatec, which was built in the city on grounds of hop picking history. The thesis can be divided into two parts – historical and practical. First chapter is about history of Žatec and engages in habitation of Žatec region, history of the city, hop picking and brewing history. In the second chapter – Region characteristics – there are described climatic conditions, soil science and waters. Second chapter explains why the Žatec region is an area suitable for planting hops. Third chapter – Hop and Beer Temple – introduces main touristic complex of the city of Žatec and the history of reconstructed buildings. Practical part – fifth chapter – is based on questionnaires which investigate tourist satisfaction with Hop and Beer Temple.
