Šíření signálu Powerlink přes Ethernet

Abstract

The aim of thesis is to analyse possibilities of passing audio and control PowerLink signals over local area network (LAN) and develop a solution enabling PowerLink communication using Ethernet technology. The analysis is concerned with the most common forms of Ethernet with respect to maximum speed of sending data over LAN, description of OSI layers involved in data transmission and features of Ethernet related networking devices. The results of above analysis were used to develop a functional model of a device enabling Powerlink over Ethernet. A set of tests was run using the functional model. The results of tests were processed and used to compare various possible concepts and point on their positive and negative aspects.
