Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the theoretical modeling of effective permittivity of heterogeneous nanomaterials with an emphasis on the anisotropy of selected components. The diploma thesis contains characteristics of basic models of effective media for isotropic environment (Bruggeman, Maxwell-Garnett), effective medium approximation for anisotropic materials, application of the method of coupled waves for nanostructures with induced anisotropy and specification of depolarization factors for some types of non-spherical particles.
