Abstract

This Diploma thesis focuses on the issue of quiet road surfaces together with their maintenance. The aim of the thesis is also to examine the effectiveness of maintenance. The theoretical part includes a comprehensive search of domestic and foreign specialist literature related to silent road covers. In the practical part, traffic noise and MTD are measured on selected roads with a low-noise surface, before and after cleaning the surface of the road surface. The study results are subsequently evaluated and the experience and knowledge gained from both parts are summarized in a Diploma thesis. The aim of the research is to contribute to the existing knowledge in the field of noise reduction and maintenance of quiet pavements and to provide insight into the practical application of these measures in real situations.
