Abstract

The opening chapter of this thesis explains the importance of water for the life of the population on the planet Earth. In the next part of the thesis, individual water processes are examined, which provide us with enough drinking water and sewage treatment. Next, we will get acquainted with critical infrastructure and blackout, which is becoming an increasingly real threat. It describes the risks in the event of a power failure in water processes. In the following chapters, we will describe the possibilities of power supplying water equipment, both in normal operation and in case of outages of primary power sources. The final chapters contain a summary of all the information collected and a proposal for possible solutions that could be applied in water processes.
