Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with investments in a concrete small hydropower plant. Company Small Hydroelectric Power Plant, spol s.r.o. is located on the 1 500 river mile of the Odra River in the village of Ostrava - Svinov. This venture deals with investments in the company's facilities. The investments are divided into five stages - dam reconstruction using dampers, replacement of bearings, gears, generator, modernization of the rake, camera system and application of preventive measures. Corrective measures are described in detail in the thesis and each is separately evaluated economically. In conclusion, given the total value of the investment with calculated return and recommendations for existing owners of the small hydropower plants.
