Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and its use in metallurgy industry. The main goal of this work is to create a sensor using IoT technologies to monitor gases inside industrial buildings. The theoretical part describes the types and principles of gas sensors and the possibilities of wireless transmission. The practical part covers the design solution of the sensor, together with the implementation of IoT technologies for the collection and visualization of measured data. The last part of the work is putting the sensor into operation, testing it and evaluating the results.
