Hodnocení finanční výkonnosti vybrané pojišťovny

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of the financial performance of a selected insurance company. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the financial performance of a selected insurance company from 2017 to 2021 using traditional business performance indicators. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The theoretical part explains the concept of financial performance and introduces the methods of financial analysis, i.e. horizontal analysis, vertical analysis, ratio analysis and spider analysis. Furthermore, the specifics of financial analysis when applied to commercial insurance companies are explained. The next chapter is devoted to the introduction of the analyzed insurance company and its basic information. In the practical part, the methods of financial analysis introduced in the theoretical part are applied. The results of the analysed insurance company are compared with the average results on the Czech insurance market. At the end of the practical part, the results of the financial analysis are evaluated.
