Analýza trhlin v keramických materiálech při použití indentační Vickersovy metody

Abstract

Ceramic materials are thanks to their extraordinary properties widely used in technical practice. The thesis titled “Analysis of cracks in ceramic materials using the Vickers indentation method” describes the characteristics of cracks in ceramic. For the experimental part of the thesis, the cutting ceramic plate DISAL 100 was used. The Vickers indentation method is used for examination of mechanic properties, especially for examination of hardness. In the thesis, the cracks proceeding from the corners of the Vickers imprint are evaluated. For the evaluation of the cracks is used a method of gradual removal of surface layers performed in direction parallel with surface of the specimen which validated theoretical assumption about crack spreading under a surface of ceramic material.
