Abstract
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine the problem of accelerated aging of single mode fiber optic couplers and related changes in energy propagation of mode LP01 after power and irradiation stress. At first are described the basic properties of energy distribution in optical fibers, then types of optical couplers. One chapter is devoted to the problem of aging couplers. Then is a description of the experimental measurement. Results and conclusions follow.
