Ekonomická analýza dopravy paliva v United Energy, a.s.

Abstract

Current production of heat and electricity in the Czech Republic is mostly based on fossil fuels, especially brown coal. Territorial limits for brown coal mining and its increasing price are forcing operators of heating and power plants to find the solution from a combination of different fuel suppliers. This thesis analyzes the present situation of transport fuels in the heating plant Komořany operated by United Energy, Inc. Performed economic analysis describes the current very expensive transportation of fuel within the company and suggests possible solutions to reduce costs. In this analysis a cost calculation of various machine operations at the landfill was made, derived from the amount of fuel imported by trucks and by rail.
