Abstract

This master thesis focuses on the practical procedures for designing illumination following the current normative requirements. The theoretical beginning of the master thesis explains how to grasp the normative requirements in illumination design correctly and gives us an insight into the current trends in the field of illumination system control. The theoretical part then flows smoothly into a detailed practical part, which focuses on lighting designs and calculations enriched by their incorporation into the actual project documentation for the modernization of lighting in an industrial company. The practical part further follows the trends in the field of illumination system control. It extends the project documentation of the industrial company with the concept of controlled intelligent illumination, which is dimmed based on evaluating the contribution of natural daylight in selected areas of the company. This concept is a practical example of the extension of a conventional illumination system to a controlled one.
