Mikroregion Žulovsko nejen pohledem turisty

Abstract

The bachelor thesis is opened by the definition of the term „Microregion Žulovsko“ as well as the reasons of the formation of this region and the listing of that towns and villages which has joined it. The next part of the bachelor thesis deals with the significance of the Microregion Žulovsko. The first one is the geological perspective which shows that this region is very interesting from the mineralogical point of view. The second one is the touristic perspective in which are introduced the most important sights of the region and assessed the touristic attraction of this region. This part concerns also with the towns and villages of the region individually, with their topography, history and present. The chapter related to the stone industry deals with the historical development of the stone industry in the region as well as its present and the local rarity – the flooded quarries. At the end of the thesis the usefulness of the formation of the Microregion Žulovsko is evaluated, especially from the touristic point of view. And the thesis is ended by reflection on the potential trends related to the future of the region.
