Abstract

This work focuses on the functioning of trade unions, their structure and also targets to achieve the Czech Labour Market. First, unions are described from a microeconomic perspective, it specify the nature of their existence, the general objectives and their rights, and also shows the effect of trade unions on wages and unemployment. Emphasis is put on the area of collective bargaining and collective agreements. Another part, which deals with the work are the current policy statements, where trade unions define specific objectives. These are the objectives of the two largest Czech trade union headquarters and its member unions. In this context, it is characterized by the concept of tripartism, through which trade unions should have great competence. The work used research of public opinion relating to trade union organization. The conclusion is related particularly to the proposals and recommendations in terms of collective enterprise agreements, enterprise collective agreements of a higher grade, as well as the work focuses on tripartism. Finally, the further outlined the projects that unions currently underway.
