Abstract

The bachelor thesis „Testing and Evaluation of Corrosion Resistance of Stainless Steels Weld Joints“ is interested in evaluation of corrosion resistance of some types of stainless steels. The theoretical part is literary review of stainless steels, their weld joints and there are basic information about corrosion. It also deals with some kind of saves materials against corrosion atack. The experimental section describes the exposure corrosion test to determine the point corrosion on the supplied samples of stainless steels, austenitic steel X3CrNiMo17-11-2, duplex steel X2CrNiMo22-6-3 and C13 carbon steel. Furthermore, compared and evaluated the results of the exposure corrosion tests in ferric chloride solution and the weight losses for each type of steel.
