Abstract

This Diploma Thesis deals with the adoption of the Euro in the Czech Republic, focusing on government deficit and government debt of the Czech Republic. It contains the description of the evolution of Eurozone and the convergence criteria for Euro adoption. The work also describes the implementation of specific convergence criteria for Euro adoption in the Czech Republic. An essential part of this work is the development of public budgets in the Czech Republic. Based on the retrieved data from the research there are several recommendations for the policy-makers of the Czech Republic in the conclusion.
